At the shelter, we offer a variety of job training programs to improve residents’ skill sets and resumes. Skills learned to include time management, clerical skills, customer service skills, learning the importance of a strong work ethic, working well with peers, successfully taking direction from staff, communicating effectively, fine-tuning problem-solving skills, improving self-confidence, and multi-tasking.”
